• Apple's Market Cap Headed for $1 Trillion

Last week, MMi reported that Apple's market cap had soared to exceed $660 billion as shares of AAPL reached new all-time highs, right along with investor confidence.

In recent days, optimism regarding the future of Apple's market cap began to accelerate. At first, it was hardly newsworthy that one or two random analysts starting calling for blockbuster growth when it comes to Apple's market cap. But now, a few have turned into many -- many respected analysts, no less.

Once again today, new voices are adding to the mix that Apple's market cap appears destined to reach $1 trillion. What started as a couple of voices has now become a choir. And they're all singing the same song.

Steve Einhorn, an executive at Leon Cooperman's $10 billion hedge fund Omega Advisors Inc., is among the latest to raise the prospect of a $1 trillion market cap for Apple. Einhorn now believes Apple will "eventually" reach that lofty perch.

As for when? We may be waiting a while. But for investors, say an array of fund managers, getting in on AAPL today with $1 trillion looming large down the road, an enormous opportunity awaits.

Wellsure it is, but the trick is, when??

      5-10 years? Maybe.
      Next year, dream on!

If anyone is talking about this, they are either bad at math or looking to score some short-term gains on hype. For Apple to reach $1 trillion from today they would have to grow over 47%! That's not exactly what even the most novice person would call "striking distance".

Unless you're a snake. Then approximately 300% is striking distance.
