• Aaron Sorkin's Jobs Biopic Picked Up by Universal Studios for $30 Million

Not long ago, we reported that Sony had dropped out of producing Aaron Sorkinís upcoming Steve Jobs biopic and that Universal Studios was reportedly to take over. Recent news from The Hollywood Reporter is saying the same thing and that the company had dished out $30 million to take over the production. Everything for this film has been a rollercoaster ride to say the least, and the only confirmed people so far have been Aaron Sorkin and Danny Boyle. The Hollywood Reporter however, reported that actor Michael Fassbender will be taking on the character of Jobs. It has also been rumored that Seth Rogen will be taking on the role of Steve Wozniak.

More news are coming out in regards to the Jobs biopic, but things change basically every week. Leonardo DiCarprio and Christian Bale dropped out of taking on the lead role, and David Fincher also dropped out of directing the film. When Jobs passed away in 2011 and Isaacson wrote the biography on Jobs, Sony had purchased the rights to the book and that also didnít end up working out. The one thing that did work out for the film (which didnít for the book) was having Jobsí daughter Lisa on board. She had apparently refused to speak with Isaacson when he was writing the biography on her father, but decided to help Sorkin with the script for the biopic. We will keep you updated when more news comes out.
