• 'God of Light' Goes Free in the iOS App Store As the App of the Week This Week

Although Apple was a day late last week in naming Guardians of the Galaxy: The Universal Weapon as the App of the Week because last Thursday was Thanksgiving Day, Apple is back on track for naming a new App of the Week on Thursdays as of this week. This week, Apple has picked the popular new iOS game God of Light to be featured in the iOS App Store as the App of the Week.

God of Light, normally a $1.99 purchase in the App Store, is currently a free download with in-app purchases in the iOS App Store for a limited time. Next week, the game will go back up to its usual price and a new application will take its place as the App of the Week.

This is a puzzle game that will boggle your mind. Your job is to use the reflective properties of light to direct the light where it needs to go. There are different colored lights that need to be directed to certain places, and the puzzling part is figuring out how to make everything go where you need it to.

You'll enjoy the complexly beautiful graphics along with the well-thought-out light physics that were carefully crafted for this game and its players. There are 5 worlds with more than 125 levels to play, and you'll use a variety of mirrors, prisms, splitters, collectors, black holes, and more to direct your light.

The game requires iOS 6 or later to be installed. If you want to give it a try, it's available for free right now at this App Store link.

Nicely made game with excellent graphics. Not very exciting to play, but then I'm not a fan of puzzles.

Might wanna give the new Peggle a shot. Still a puzzle, but a lot more interesting than most IMO. Of course, I just found out the iOS version is apparently trying to be like Candy Crush and have a certain number of friends give you tickets every few hours... Stupid EA.
