• Waze for iOS Gets Updated With New Notification Center Widget and Numerous Enhancements

On Tuesday, the Google-owned Waze navigation service updated its application on the iOS platform to version 3.9.2 to make way for a vast number of improvements for its users.

Among the new improvements are richer traffic information along with your ETA and route changes, a brand-new Notification Center widget for iOS 8 users that shows you the ETA from home or work and makes it easier to get home, an all-new look and function for sending locations, and an easier way to let people know when you're on your way somewhere. The update also brings a brand new setting that can change between 2-D and 3-D maps.

To enable the new Today Notification Center widget, just open Notification Center and tap on the Edit button to turn on the widget and start using it in Notification Center. You must have iOS 8 to use this feature.

The application is even getting some performance enhancements and stability improvements in this update, so it's going to run smoother and more reliably across your devices. Best of all, Waze is still completely free to use.

If you're an existing user of Waze, you will find this update under the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of Waze for iOS for free from this App Store link.
