Just last month, we showed everyone how Apple’s SVP of Internet Software and Services Eddy Cue went on a holiday shopping spree using Apple Pay. The Disney Store was one of the places Cue visited when showing off the new mobile payment system. Not long after, Disney incorporated Apple Pay checkout in its iOS app as well and made it much easier for everyone with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus to purchase items. It has now been announced that the popular Disney World theme park will also begin taking Apple Pay starting Wednesday the 24th on Christmas Eve. According to Disney,
Initially, most stores, quick service restaurants, bars and ticket sales booths will be included. Any locations that use portable payment terminals, such as table service restaurants, will be added later.
To identify payment locations that accept Apple Pay and contactless payments, look for the EMVCo symbol, which is a series of curved lines, similar to a WiFi signal strength meter on many devices.
