• Apple Drops 4th Beta of iOS 8.2 (w/ WatchKit support)

This morning, Apple gave its developers a Monday surprise -- access to the 4th beta of iOS 8.2, which comes with WatchKit support.

Today's release just reaffirms the belief that Apple Watch is poised to reach consumers soon -- likely no later than the widely anticipated March timeframe.

We don't know much yet about the update, which is available now over-the-air (OTA), but it is available to all registered devs and is compatible with iPhones 6, 6 Plus, 5s, 5c, 5, and 4S, in addition to iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad mini 3, 2, first-gen iPad mini, third-gen iPad, iPad 2 and, lastly, fifth-gen iPod touch.

It goes without saying that Apple is eager for its army of iOS developers to get cracking with their forthcoming offerings for Apple Watch, and today's update confirms that this desire is growing stronger as we get closer to the formal launch of Apple's first wearable device.

We'll have more info on the 4th Beta of iOS 8.2 w/ WatchKit support as it becomes available.
