• Apple Grounding TestFlight in February

If you are a fan of TestFlight, today just isn't your day.

Following Apple's acquisition in 2014 of Burstly (the makers of TestFlight), Apple rolled out an iTunes Connect-based beta testing service that, according to published reports Monday, will be closed for business in the coming weeks.

That news comes straight from TestFlight, which dropped the hammer via email today. We're told the final day of operation is already set.

"The services offered at TestFlightApp.com will no longer be available after February 26, 2015," the TestFlight blog reads. "To prepare for the TestFlightapp.com closure, developers and team leaders are recommended to transfer their testers to the all-new TestFlight Beta Testing in iTunes Connect."

Apps from TestFlightApp.com, the blog entry continues for added clarification, will not be transferred to the new service. "App Developers will need to set up their apps for the new TestFlight Beta Testing in iTunes Connect," the statement notes.

TestFlight has a helpful Q&A page available here if you have any inquiries regarding the pending closure.
