• Sports Illustrated's Newest Content Vehicle Lands on Apple TV

As we rapidly approach the three-year mark since Apple's last hardware update for Apple TV, the only news we have to report with regard to the streaming set-top box is the launch of yet another channel.

With new content offerings coming in hot and heavy in this new year, Sports Illustrated is the latest media behemoth to bring something new to Apple's living room experiment-turned goldmine. On Tuesday, Apple TV owners were pleasantly surprised to see S.I.'s newest channel among the listings on Apple TV.

If you haven't already noticed, the Sports Illustrated 120 SPORTS network is now available. This arrival comes just days after Apple's most recent sports content update with the addition of Tennis Channel Everywhere.

Although there's presently no shortage of professional sports material on Apple TV, Sports Illustrated'S 120 SPORTS network brings a wealth of new sports content (spanning all the major pro sports and even some college ball) to Apple TV in one neat little package.

"With this latest launch, we are happy to provide our fans with a new platform to experience 120 Sports, 120 Sports president Jason Coyle said in a news release. We will continue to explore even more ways to deliver up-to-the-minute sports news to our current fans and new audiences, when and where they want it.
