    I received a tweet in my Twitter inbox around 2:15 AM PST from @iphone_dev and @ultrasn0w saying that PwnageTool, redsn0w, and ultrasn0w are updated to support 4.3.3 untethered.

    The original exploit, found by @i0nic, was not patched when Apple released 4.3.3. However, there were some kernel crashes and other related issues that kept these above programs from rendering an untethered jailbreak. The team has finally fixed it and now it's hit the mainstream. All iDevices are supported with the exception of the iPad 2. For downloading the respective software, refer to the Dev-Team Blog and the following download links:

    ultrasn0w can be found on Cydia. If you don't have the repository added (or accidentally deleted it), the repository is: repo666.ultrasn0w.com

    redsn0w for Mac OSX can be confirmed as working for my device: iPhone 4 GSM 32 GB v4.3.3

    ***UPDATE*** sn0wbreeze has been updated to support 4.3.3 untethered along with 4.2.8 on Verizon as well.

      Whats up with the signal issue is ultrasn0w the only answer which does drain the battery even with an unsupported baseband

      UltraSn0w does not drain the battery.

      im thinking about updating from 4.2.1 to 4.3.3. any good jailbeaking guides? im on windows whats best to jailbreak with? any good guides online? also are all apps and tweaks 4.3.3 compatible yet?

      If you font need an unlock then just update and run RedSn0w rc16

      You only need to use a custom firmware if you are an unlocker and want to preserve your baseband.

      Thanks for that info.. One more question, I am getting a new Iphone 4 which will probably have 4.3.3 on it. Will all I have to do is save my shsh in TU and then run redsnow or would I be best at that point to go ahead and get a custom so that in case one day I do need to unlock for some reason?

      All you will need is to run redsnow. And yes, save your shsh with tiny umbrella.

      Because it's a new Phone, a custom won't save (or preserve) anything. It's already at the latest and can't be downgraded or unlocked.

      Looking at future updates (>4.3.3) .... It's a different senario. Keeping the baseband low with a custom is the only way to have a chance at using an unlock if one ever comes

      Every time i click the link either on this post or on the Dev teams website it says that the page can not be found....
