• Tim Cook to Attend New Apple Office Opening in Israel Early Next Week

According to a report from Israeli daily business newspaper, Calcalist, Tim Cook is scheduled to attend the opening of Apple’s newest offices in Israel early next week. The report confirms that the new offices will be located in Herzliya, Israel and hold around 800 employees in approximately $180,000 square feet.

As of right now, there is no information as to what the company has planned for the new facility. That being said, Apple has run satellite offices in Israel for a few years following its acquisition of Anobit, the NAND flash technology provider, and PrimseSense, shortly after. The offices for Anobit also happen to be located in Herzliya. It should be noted that Apple also has another research center in Haifa, Israel, that it first started hiring chip experts for back in 2012. Calcalist recently noted that it holds several hundred employees in addition to the new offices that are opening in Herzliya next week.

Along with visiting the offices, Cook has also reportedly scheduled to meet with government officials including former President Shimon Peres as well as high-profile tech executives in the country.

We’ll have to wait until more information is revealed about Apple’s new office in Israel to find out what the company’s plans for the future are.
