• So... About that February 24th Apple Event

It now appears that there was either no truth to reports that Apple would hold its next media event on February 24th, or Apple has opted to delay the event in question until March.

According to sources purportedly in the know, Apple wants to use its next media event to not only unveil a new product or two, but to give Apple Watch one final demonstration before the wearable ships in April.

As of this writing, it is still believed that Apple will soon have a new MacBook and, possibly, an enterprise-targeted "iPad Pro" to unveil in the coming weeks. But it's most likely that Apple will wait to hold its next media event until the Apple Watch is roughly two weeks away from shopping.

Consequently, it may be a safe bet to expect the next Apple media event to take place on the same date or eve of when the Apple Watch will become available for preorder.

Although it may still feel like the waiting game for Apple Watch is dragging on for too long, would-be buyers of the wearable are very close, indeed, to seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. As MMi reported Tuesday, Apple has supposedly ordered 5 million Apple Watch units for the additional production run -- a process that is already well-underway.
