• Apple CEO Tim Cook Rumored to Visit Israel

Rumors have been circulating the web recently claiming that Apple CEO Tim Cook is looking to pay Israel a visit and meet up with former Israeli president Shimon Peres as well as others from Israel’s tech community. Apparently, the CEO is looking to celebrate a new research and development office located in Herzliya Pituach. Although the rumors first started last week, it has been noted that Cook has not made a trip to the Middle East just yet. New reports are claiming that Cook will be make the trip sometime next week.

According to Globes, Herzliya Pituach is supposedly just 20 minutes away from Tel Aviv and will be 12,500 square meters. The new office will also house 800 employees since Apple acquired both flash memory maker Anobit and motion sensing company PrimeSense. The company apparently has 49 new positions open at the Herzliya office and is looking for engineers, managers, and testers in various areas. We’re not sure how accurate the rumors of Cook visiting Israel are, but it did come just as Apple is looking to launch their new research and development heaquarter.
