• Apple Tops Fortune's 'Most Admired Companies' List for 8th Consecutive Year

It has been reported that Apple is once again on the top of Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies list for the 8th consecutive year. Other companies that joined Apple on the list include Google, Amazon, Walt Disney, and more. Google moved up to the number two spot where Amazon was last year, meanwhile Amazon dropped to the fourth spot on the list. Investment company Berkshire Hathaway made the list again this year but moved up to the third spot, one slot higher than the previous year.

Scores are based off of ranks in nine categories and Apple received Rank 1 in 7 out of 9 categories. The 7 categories Apple ranked top spot for include Innovation, People management, Social responsibility, Quality of management, Financial soundness, Long-term investment value, and Global competitiveness. Fortune polled 4,104 executives, securities analysts, and directors for the list. This is not the first list Apple takes the number spot for as they were named ‘Most Valuable Brand’ by Fortune last year and Barron’s ‘World’s Most Respected Company.’
