• Updated Images Reveal Apple's Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard Getting LED Backlight, Power Button

Updated versions of Apple's wireless Bluetooth keyboard are appearing on Apple's online store with minor improvements, such as LED back-lighting, as well as three updated keyboard keys two for controlling the LED back light brightness, and another one for turning your Mac on or off.

The new keyboard keys replace the Eject button, which is currently useless on most modern Macs due to the lack of a CD/DVD drive, and the other two keys that get the new keyboard brightness control icons were previously blank on the previous generation of the Apple keyboard, as shown below:

The updated keyboard has not yet appeared on the U.S. Apple online store, but it is rolling out in various other Apple online stores, such as those of the Czech Republic, Hungary, and a few others, as MacRumors reports.

The updated keyboard keys are a long-overdue upgrade to the keyboard Apple makes for its computers. Notably, the MacBook, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air keyboards have all supported these three keyboard keys, starting with the initial doing away of the CD/DVD drive in the latest MacBook Air uni-body design several years ago.
