• TED, Tastemade and Young Hollywood Added as New Channels on the Apple TV

Apple recently updated its Apple TV set-top box by adding three new TV channels in the United States. The three new channels consist of TED, Tastemade and Young Hollywood. These three new channels bring non-profit TED Talks and a wide-selection of premium food, travel and celebrity programming to the Apple TV. Furthermore, the channels are made to the public starting today.

These three new channels arrive just over three months after the addition of the previous set of channels, which consisted of UFC, The Scene, Fusion and Daily Motion. The Cupertino California company appears to be constantly updating its offerings in an effort to stay relevant in the industry. Itís rumored that the company is looking to offer a subscription service that will be made available on the Apple TV after negotiating deals with different providers.

As far as the three new channels go, TED Talks are given by the non-profit organization and hosted by guest speakers that seem to cover a wide range of influential topics such as science, religion, technology, education and more. Tastemade on the other hand provides hundreds of episodes of premium food and travel programming. Young Hollywood delivers the latest celebrity-related programming including entertainment news and exclusive interviews.

Are any of you excited for the new offerings?
