• Apple Goes Radio Silent on Apple Watch Orders

Monday came and went without any numbers.

To be sure, we'll get some numbers later this afternoon when Apple reports earnings for its second fiscal quarter of 2015. But the numbers many were hoping for relate to preorders/sales of Apple Watch.

In previous years, with regard to iPhone and iPad launches, Apple has routinely provided a post-launch weekend update on sales. The fact that Apple hasn't said a word today following Friday's formal debut of Apple Watch makes some market watchers a little nervous.

U.S. consumers are in no rush to purchase a wearable device and future adoption of the technology will be driven by attractiveness, alerts, and payments functionality, reads a new report summary from Carlisle & Gallagher Consulting Group shared with NativeMobile.

According to the national data presented, a resounding 82 percent of those surveyed have no interest in purchasing a wearable device, which includes Apple Watch.

In short, we may have to wait for Apple's fiscal Q3 report to know whether Apple Watch sales have been stellar or sub-par.
