• Apple Already Seeking to Expand New R&D Center in Herzliya, Israel

Apple’s new research and development center in Herzliya, Israel opened just recently and new reports are already saying that Apple is looking to expand the facility. The Times of Israel is claiming that the Cupertino-based company is looking to provide their employees more room just weeks after its official opening. Apple apparently wants to take the open space that is available in the same building so that their engineers have more space to work.

The research center in Israel opened not too long ago, specifically in late February of this year. Apple CEO Tim Cook has already visited the facility and also held a meeting with Israel’s President Reuven Rivlin in regards to the company’s growing business. It was noted that the R&D center has air conditioning and smart lighting systems that help lessen electricity usage, as well as solar panels on the roof which gives hot water.

Apple currently has two other R&D sites in Israel located in Hafia and Ra'anana, which means the Herzliya facility is the company’s third in the country.
