• Former Apple Retail Chief Ready to 'Enjoy' His New Startup

You can't keep a good leader down for long.

After leaving Apple nearly five years ago as head of retail in order to become the CEO of J.C. Penney, Ron Johnson found himself without a job in 2013 after being pushed out from the helm.

But Johnson is back in the hunt for newfound success yet again, confirming today to The Wall Street Journal that his new startup called Enjoy is ready to make a splash.

The online retail platform will made available for purchase "high-end consumer electronics – smartphones, laptops, speakers, tablets and even drones" but with "a twist." For example:

Enjoy said it has about 80 “experts” who will be making the device deliveries. The workers can make a delivery in as little as four hours and can bring a gadget to a customer’s home, workplace or wherever they choose and will spend as much as an hour with them helping to set up a device.
With twelve years under his belt at Apple, Johnson definitely understands how to build something from good to great. So that is the obviously goal for Enjoy. “We’re living in an on-demand delivery world,” Johnson is quoted in the WSJ. “We expect everything to come when and where we want. It’s time to reinvent how we buy things.”
