• Google Maps for iOS Updated With Improved Photo Uploader, Better Work/Home Directions

On Tuesday, Google issued an update for its highly popular Google Maps application in the iOS App Store. The update brings the application up to version 4.6.0 in the iOS App Store and is available right now as a free update under the Updates tab in the App Store application for existing users.

The update makes improvements to existing features in the application, such as an improved photo uploading experience that makes it easier than ever to upload photos you've taken at locations to let other people see what someplace is like before they take a trip there.

Moreover, the update also improves on the "directions to home" and "directions to work" functions that the application comes with so that directions to both home and work with be more reliable and accurate.

Version 4.6.0 is also deemed to include a variety of bug fixes, which should improve the application's overall stability and usability across the various iOS device lineup.

Google Maps is a free download from this App Store link.
