In the past, such opportunities as lunch with Apple CEO Tim Cook have fetched hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity through the online auction site Charity Buzz.
Now, Apple is back to helping worthy causes once again -- this time, by offering unprecedented access to company headquarters for the winning the bidder. While the estimated value of the tour is pegged at $50,000, it's clear that such an opportunity would ordinarily not be available to virtually anyone, regardless of how well-capitalized they are.
One lucky winner will get an insider's access tour of the Apple Headquarters in Cupertino, California with quite the tour guide -- Vice President of Education, John Couch, who donated the opportunity to the online platform.
Proceeds, we're told, will benefit the Giant Steps Therapeutic Equestrian Center. The current high-bid stands at $8,000.
