• Upcoming iOS 9 Update Brings Major Improvements to the Usability of the iPad

Along with OS X El Capitan, Apple announced iOS 9 at WWDC 2015 with huge improvements to the mobile operating system.

For the iPad, this means huge features for multitasking and text editing.

Starting with text editing, Apple is bringing huge improvements to what you can do while typing on the iPad. Starting with the QuickType bar, Apple is adding quick tools, such as cut, copy paste, and more:

Apple is also integrating easy cursor movement gestures, like the popular SwipeSelection jailbreak tweak, on the iPad. You can use two finger drag gestures to move the cursor where you like even faster:

In terms of multitasking on the iPad, Apple is bringing the iPad a redesigned App Switcher with beautiful full-screen and fluid application previews:

What's more is you can have applications running side-by-side on your display so you can control them simultaneously. They are resizable so you can have them taking up as much of the display as you want, depending on how much space you feel you need for each applications:

If that wasn't enough, Apple also says you can have picture-in-picture video playing in a YouTube-like format while you use other applications. Below, you can see the floating video, which appears as you use other applications:

Apple also notes that iOS 9 brings improvements to battery life, storage space, and more.
