• Pharrell Williams' New Single 'Freedom' to be Apple Music Launch Exclusive

We are now less than a week away from the launch of Apple’s upcoming music streaming service Apple Music. Although there has been a lot of talk recently about the new service with Apple and artist agreements, rapper Pharrell Williams has announced that his upcoming song ‘Freedom’ will be an Apple Music exclusive single. According to the rapper’s Facebook update, the single will be released alongside the service on June 30th.

Pharrell’s new song had been played when Apple Music was first unveiled at WWDC 2015, But the rapper’s Facebook update did not say how long he would be making ‘Freedom’ exclusive for. Pharrell is definitely an Apple supporter as he was one of the first celebrities to sport the Apple Watch Edition before it was even opened to the public for preorder. He was spotted wearing the smartwatch on NBC’s singing competition The Voice days before preorder even began.

There was talk in the past about how Williams would be one of the many celebrity DJs for Apple’s revamped iTunes radio service. But that didn’t end up being the case as the Cupertino-based company will be focusing on live station Beats1 instead.

I have a feeling "exclusives" and Apple will soon be synonymous when it comes to music streaming.
