• Apple to Reveal Financial Results for Q3 2015 at 2:00 PM Pacific on July 21

Apple recently announced that it will be revealing its financial results for the third fiscal quarter of 2015 on July 21. The reveal will be followed by a conference call that will potentially offer insight into the sales performance of the company’s newest product category, the Apple Watch. This announcement was made on Apple’s Investor Relations webpage with the upcoming quarterly report and conference call covering the three month period that spans April to June. The third quarter is usually met with a slowdown in hardware sales though last quarter’s performance bucked the usual sales slump that follows the holiday shopping season.

In the last quarter, Apple beat the estimates with $13.6 billion in profit on revenues of $58 billion, which were driven by a record of 61.17 million iPhone sales. The numbers for Macs were up 10% to 4.56 million unit sales but the iPad sales ended up falling 23% year-over-year to 12.6 million units. Although the Apple Watch will likely be lumped together with iPods and Apple TVs, many investors are looking to seeing the performance of the new device in its first quarter of availability. This is especially the case as it is the first commercial device that has been developed without Steve Jobs and in some cases, represents the efficacy of the current CEO, Tim Cook.

In its last quarterly statement, Apple ended up offering revenue guidance between $46 billion and $48 billion with a gross margin set between 38.5% and 39.5%. At the time, the company warned that the margins might be down slightly because of economic headwinds, ones that included exchange rates.

The next Apple earnings conference call is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, July 21 at 2:00pm Pacific (5:00pm Eastern).
