Although TaiG has the spotlight for jailbreaking iOS 8.1.3 and later, another team of hackers known as "PP" has been known to ultimately re-release the same jailbreak under a tool in their name. TaiG has openly stated that the code behind the PP jailbreak tools use code from the TaiG jailbreak tools, but nonetheless, PP is the first to release a Mac OS X-compatible tool that can jailbreak iOS 8.1.3-8.4.
Because the tool is actually TaiG's own code, we have very little reason to believe that the jailbreak is any less stable or less secure than TaiG's, but we don't really like the idea of running a tool that has stolen code, as it just gives us bad vibes. With that in mind, we're not going to recommend PP to you, as we would always recommend TaiG, the original creators of this jailbreak.
This isn't the first time that PP has ported a jailbreak to Mac OS X; in January, the team also ported the iOS 8.0-8.1.2 jailbreak to Mac OS X.
But if you have absolutely no other option and a virtual machine isn't in the cards for you, then the Mac OS X-compatible PP jailbreak tool could be a way for you to finally enjoy a jailbreak on your iOS 8.1.3-8.4 device; it is available to download at this link.
Just like TaiG's tool, you want to leave the extraneous features un-checked as not to install junk on your device when you jailbreak it. So in this case, you would be un-checking "Install PP Helper" just like you would un-check "4k Assistant" in the TaiG jailbreak tool.
