• Apple Releases a Flash Storage Firmware Update for Some 2015 MacBook Pros

Apple has launched a new firmware update (1.0) for select 2015 MacBook Pro models affected by a nasty bug that could cause data stored in the device's flash storage to become corrupted and unusable in what the Cupertino, CA-based company is calling "rare case" scenarios.

This update is recommended for MacBook Pro (mid 2015) models. This update addresses a storage firmware issue that, in rare cases, may cause data corruption.
The update is available in the Mac App Store via the Updates tab for affected machines, as well as on Apple's Web site at this link. If you don't have a 2015 MacBook Pro, you won't need to install this update, and some 2015 MacBook Pros aren't even affected.

If you're among the affected machines, it's recommended that you install this patch as soon as possible to protect your data from a potentially detrimental problem.
