• Apple Releases Third Public Beta of OS X 10.11 El Capitan for Public Beta Participants

On Wednesday, Apple released its third public beta of OS X 10.11 El Capitan, which comes about one week after the release of the second public beta. OS X 10.11 El Capitan developer preview 5 was seeded to developers on Monday and the new public beta likely takes most if its traits from that developer preview.

Public Beta Program participants will find this update waiting for them under the Updates tab in the Mac App Store. The update includes further improvements for security and stability before the operating system is released to the whole public this Fall. Installation requires a restart of the computer to take effect, so it's recommended you save all changes to files you have open before you proceed to prevent data loss.

OS X 10.11 El Capitan will bring tons of new features to the table, as well as huge improvements to the fluidity and stability of the operating system.
