Hong Kong’s new Canton Road Apple Store located in one of the city’s busiest neighborhoods was welcomed by thousands of customers during its recent grand opening. Because of such warm welcoming, Apple CEO Tim Cook took to social media site Twitter to thank the “thousands of Hong Kong customers” who attended the opening. The new store marks Hong Kong’s fourth Apple Store and presumably the biggest Retail store in Asia currently.
The new Canton Road store’s official opening announcement was made just a few weeks ago by Apple, but had been announced first back in 2013. It is located at 100 Canton Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, where a ton of high-end retail stores are also located. The TST area in Kowloon is also a busy tourist area, as there are tons of restaurants, shops, as well as a shopping mall all within walking distance.
