• Apple Denies Rumors of Becoming its Own MVNO Mobile Carrier for iPhone Consumers

    Rumors have been buzzing around for years that Apple, the mobile device company we know and love today, might some day get into the mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) business, essentially becoming its own mobile carrier option for iPhone customers, but recently, the rumor seems to have increased its volume and has been making headlines.

    As such rumors can hurt the company's business and reliationships with existing carriers that the company has partnered with to offer the iPhone all over the world, the company has made an outright statement on Tuesday completely dismissing the rumor and letting the world know that Apple is not interested in becoming its own mobile carrier:

    We have not discussed nor do we have any plans to launch an MVNO.
    With this rumor now squashed early on in the game, Apple can continue its relationships with existing carriers around the world, simply remaining the device maker, and not the service provider.

      But the monthly bill would have an Apple Logo. Surely thats worth at least 20% premium over a At&t logo on a bill.
