Ahead of Apple’s unofficially announced iPhone 6s and 6s Plus unveiling event next month, Korean-based company Samsung has gone ahead and unveiled their new Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 devices. Both new smartphones are 5.7-inch big, which makes them .2 inches bigger than Apple’s current 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus. Last year when the Cupertino-based company launched their devices and saw such positive reaction to the phablet, Samsung rushed and got their devices released sooner than originally planned.
Both of Samsung’s Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 phones have 4GB of RAM, 8-core Samsung Exynos chips, a 5-megapixel front camera, and 16-megapixel rear camera. According to the South Korean company, the devices will not only be able to stream live YouTube videos in full HD quality but the back camera will be able to capture 4K video. JK Shin, Samsung Mobile chief noted:
At Samsung, we believed in the promise that big screen smartphones could actively address some major consumers pain points by providing users with a better viewing experience and more productivity on-the-go. With the launch of the Galaxy S6 edge+ and Note5, we're reemphasizing our commitment to bold, fearless innovation that meets the needs of our consumers.
