We reported earlier that South Korean-based company and Apple rival Samsung unveiled their new 5.7-inch devices today, the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 to compete with Apple’s iPhone 6s Plus. The company also then unveiled their Gear S2 smartwatch as well, in response to the Apple Watch. The Gear S2 wearable device sports a round display and will be fully revealed at the IFA trade show in Berlin on September 3rd.
The Gear S2 was only briefly previewed at the end of their presentation, so it was really just a teaser. Not much juicy information was given on the smartwatch, so we guess we’ll just have to wait until next month to see what it’s all about. Samsung’s original Gear S is a rectangular smartwatch that runs Tizen operating system, which the new watch will run as well. Along with having a round display, it will also sport a rotating bezel so that users can navigate the interface.
