• Apple Looks to Break Retail Ground in Belgium

Although most headlines regarding Apple's retail aims involve new and upgraded flagship stores in the U.S. and new retail outlets in Asia (specifically in China), Apple isn't overlooking Europe by any means.

According to published reports Monday, Apple is about to break ground in Belgium. This marks the first retail outlet the company has opened in that nation.

Details obtained by Apple Nieuws Vlaanderen today reveal that the store is opening soon -- as in late August or early September, certainly well enough ahead of Apple's anticipated iPhone refresh in the coming weeks.

As we and other Apple-centric media outlets have been reporting in recent weeks, Apple is expected to host a September 9th media event where it will lift the veil on a new iPhone, a refreshed Apple TV, and possibly more.
