• OS X 10.11 El Capitan Will See a September 30th Public Launch

On Wednesday, while Apple’s Craig Federighi demonstrated the new features on the newly announced iPhone 6s, one of the e-mails to Phil Schiller he opened up while demonstrating the 3D Touch feature revealed what appears to be a release date for the OS X 10.11 El Capitan operating system for Mac machines.

The e-mail, as shown above, appears to show a release date of September 30th for OS X 10.11 El Capitan, which seems reasonable to consider being that OS X usually comes out to the public after iOS releases do.

OS X 10.11 El Capitan will bring a variety of improvements to Mac machines including performance boosts, battery life enhancements, and loads of improvements for many of the built-in applications that will improve productivity. More of the features you can expect in the update can be read about here.

When available, OS X 10.11 El Capitan will be a free upgrade from the Mac App Store.
