• Apple Adds 46 New Banks and Card Issuers to Apple Pay

    Apple Pay is Apple's premier NFC payment service that works with the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and Apple Watch, allowing users to make payments at retailers via Apple Pay-compatible NFC terminals with their credit and debit cards. At a steady rate, Apple Pay has been growing and gaining adoption not only from retailers, but also from banks and card issuers, giving even more Apple device users the ability to take advantage of Apple Pay.

    On Tuesday, Apple added another handful of banks and credit card issuers to its list of participating banks online; a grand total of 46 of them. The announcement comes only about two weeks after Apple added 18 other new banks and card issuers.

    The new ones as of today include:

    Notably, the list does not yet include Discover Card, which is a promised addition to Apple Pay. Apple says that Discover Card will be supported by Apple Pay alongside the iOS 9 launch, which occurs tomorrow afternoon (or morning, depending on where you live).
