• Shazam Launches Updated iOS App With iOS 9/iPhone 6s/6s Plus Compatibility

On Monday, Shazam has launched updates for its popular music tagging application on the iOS platform, bringing it up to version 9.0.0 in the iOS App Store. The updated application adds support for features in iOS 9, as well as features that are limited to the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Not all of the new features are limited to Apple's latest devices, however.

Among the new features, all iOS 9 users can now take advantage of Spotlight integration, which means that now when searching for Music in Spotlight, you can get Shazam search results right from your Home Screen thanks to the dedicated search page to the left of your Home Screen and the new Spotlight searching APIs Apple introduced in iOS 9.

Moreover, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus users will see integration with 3D Touch, which now lets users firmly press on their display while using the Shazam application to quickly Shazam a song near you. This shortcut makes it easier and faster to tag music from anywhere in the Shazam application without having to waste time to get to the main Shazam application interface.

The update also includes a variety of bug fixes and improvements, as well as fixes for Spotify and Rdio users, fixes for VoiceOver, and improvements to Bluetooth listening.

Existing users of Shazam will find this update waiting for them under the Updates tab in the App Store application; alternatively, you can download Shazam for free from this App Store link.
