• Sports Illustrated Given an Early Access iPhone 6s Plus to Take Pics of the SF Giants

Although Appleís iPhone 6s lineup isnít set to reach the public until Friday, the folks over at Sports Illustrated were able to get an early access 6s Plus to shoot a preview of high resolution shots at the San Francisco Giants baseball games at AT&T Park. This is following a similar photoshoot by Vogue at New York Fashion Week. This time, the early-access iPhone 6s Plus was assigned to the photographer, Brad Mangin.

The magazine noted the following in its sneak preview of the new iPhone 6s Plus:

The phone boasts a 12 megapixel camera with advanced pixel technology, and is a lot quickerómaking it great for shooting sports.
In addition to higher resolution photos and 4K video support, iPhone 6s models support iOS 9ís new Live Photos; which is a feature that incorporates ambient sound and the animated context of a captured photograph. Though pre-release photoshoots by both sports and fashion photographers are rare events for the Cupertino California company, they arenít unprecedented. In the past Apple offered pre-release iPhone 5s units to Burberry in a collaboration to shoot the labelís fashion show back in September 2013.

The video captured by the iPhone 5s showed off the deviceís new ability to capture 120 fps Slomo videos of models going down the catwalk while golden leaves fell from the sky. Last year, Apple took advantage of Paris Fashion Week to introduce early editions of the Apple Watch to show a variety of prominent celebrities.

The photos from the iPhone 6s Plus are leaving many excited to receive their devices later this week.
