• Pixelmator iOS App Gets Updated With Support for iOS 9, Split View Multitasking, & More

On Wednesday, the Pixelmator team has released an update for its iOS application, bringing it up to version 2.1 in the App Store. Pixelmator, as many of you know, is like the cheap edition of Photoshop, and these features will shine especially on mobile devices with the low price tag.

The new update adds support for iOS 9 and many of the features it brings to the table. On the iPad, the application is now able to take advantage of split-view multitasking and slide over; multitasking with Pixelmator on the iPad has never felt so great prior to this update, as you can now run the application side-by-side with another, which is perfect for the person who has to look at something to draw something.

The update also adds support for open in place, 8k resolution image editing, saving Pixelmator creations to photos without making a copy of the original, and even the ability to search Spotlight for documents that you've made with Pixelmator.

The team also notes that they've updated with UI with the new San Francisco system font, and with the ability to copy images to the clipboard for easy pasting.

Existing users of Pixelmator for iOS will find this update waiting for them under the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, you can download Pixelmator from the App Store for just $4.99 from this App Store link.
