• T-Mobile's John Legere Says New iPhone Preorders Up More Than 30% Compared to Last Year

U.S. mobile carrier T-Mobile’s John Legere announced today that they’ve so far seen preorders for Apple’s new iPhone 6s up more than 30% compared to preorders for the iPhone 6 last year. Legere took to Twitter to make his announcement while also promoting the company’s new special trade-in plan for those interested in the new device. There are three tiers depending on which old iPhone customers are trading in; $5/month, $10/month, or $15/month.

So far, no numbers were given regarding the iPhone 6s other than the fact that it is possibly on pace to beat the 10 million during opening weekend sales for the iPhone 6 last year. Apple has also noted that reaction has been exceptionally positive for the new device. We already know that there are 12 countries that will be launching the iPhone 6s lineup on Friday and all countries are sold out of all devices. The earliest ship date now is September 29th-October 6th.

    Legere’s tweet said:

That was fast. Here we go… 1/ @TMobile customers are pumped to get the new #iPhone6s –preorders up >30% over last year! #WeWontStop
We’re just two days away from the launch, but unfortunately due to Pope Francis’ visit to NYC and Philadelphia, some people may be receiving the device on Saturday. Some however, have already received their devices early. How excited are you to try out the new iPhone 6s or 6s Plus? Share with us in the section below.
