• Apple CEO Tim Cook and 14 Other U.S. CEOs Meet With Chinese President Xi Jinping

It was reported that during Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to the United States, he met with multiple corporate leaders, with Apple CEO Tim Cook being one of them. This is apparently President Xi’s first visit to the U.S. and the meeting took place inside the Seattle Westin. Other U.S. leaders who joined Cook included Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, Microsoft’s Satya Nadella, Berkshire Hathaway's Warren Buffett, Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, and many more.

Chinese business execs from companies like Baidu, Alibaba, Lenovo, and Tencent also took part in the meeting. There were a total of 30 CEOs present; 15 from the U.S., and 15 from China. It was noted topics that were discussed included economic obstacles, ties, and reforms. The Chinese President spoke a lot about hoping U.S. and China will do more business together. The Chinese market is currently the second largest market for Apple. Cook has been using this year to really expand into the international market, with the biggest being in China.

President Xi reassured everyone that the Chinese economy is stronger than ever, despite recent rumors about the economy experiencing hard hits the last few months. The Chinese market has definitely helped bring Apple a lot more sales and business ever since the release of the larger iPhone 6 lineup.
