
Apple added 29 additional U.S. financial institutions to have Apple Pay support recently and the most significant one on the list this time is investment and trading firm Scottrade. Other additions include Velocity Credit Union in the Austin area, LA Police Federal Credit Union, and Arvest Bank in multiple states. The Cupertino-based company already has 500+ banks with Apple Pay support as of last month and now an additional 29.
Popular credit card company Discover and store-based cards also received support for the wireless payment system. The Cupertino-based company expanded their payment system to the U.K. recently as well, so that list is growing for customers living in the U.K. The company has been expanding support for more banks in the last few months as opposed to merchant partners.
However, head of Apple Pay Jennifer Bailey revealed that more merchant partners like Starbucks, KFC, and Chili’s will be getting support next year. To see the full list of supporting banks, click the source link below.
