• Grand Opening of UAE's First Apple Retail Stores to be Held on October 29th

It has been announced by Apple recently that the first Apple Retail Stores in United Arab Emirates will be opening at the end of the month on October 29th. This includes one launching in Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates and the other in Abu Dhabi’s Yas Mall. The one opening in Dubai has been said to be the world’s largest Apple Store. Apple back in August received exemption from the country’s foreign ownership laws and that was when rumors first circulated that they would be setting up a shop in UAE.

The upcoming Apple Store in Dubai is expected to be the world’s largest store, as the location was previously a cinema complex. The area in the Mall of the Emirates is said to have 50,000 square-feet floor of space and will feature the usual Genius Bar, product display, and a workshop area. Another Apple Store is rumored in being worked on in the Dubai Mall.

Currently, products from the Cupertino-based company are being sold through resellers in Dubai and have been since 4 years ago in 2011. Grand opening of the Apple Store in The Mall of the Emirates will be at 4pm local time on October 29th, meanwhile grand opening of Abu Dhabi’s Yas Mall Apple Store will be at 7pm. Both stores will operate normally from 10am-10pm Monday through Wednesday and 10am-11:59pm Thursday through Saturday.
