• Sneak Peek Photos of First United Arab Emirates Apple Stores Released

The first two Apple stores in United Arab Emirates will be opening this week on Thursday, October 29th. But the Cupertino-based company has allowed members of the media to get a sneak peek of the two stores before the grand opening. The two new stores will be located in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Rumors were circulating claiming the retail store in Dubai will be the world’s largest Apple Store, however, what was previewed revealed that this won’t be as big as what rumors had claimed.

Gulf News was lucky enough to attend previews for both retail locations but noted that Apple wouldn’t reveal how big the store is. However, they estimated that both stores are less than 10,000 square feet. If this number is accurate, not only is it not the world’s largest Apple Store but it will be smaller than many other international stores located in London, Shanghai, Barcelona, and more. Currently the world’s largest store is in Covent Garden, London, measuring 40,000 square feet.

Dubai’s store is only a single-level story with lots of natural lighting and whereas many other international stores are multiple stories high. The store in Abu Dhabi is located at Yas Mall and looks more like a traditional Apple Store with a glass storefront. Both stores in the region will open at 7pm local time this Thursday.
