• Second iOS 9.2 Beta Released For Public Beta Testers

Just one day after Apple released the second beta of iOS 9.2 to developers for testing, the company releases the second beta of iOS 9.2 to public beta testers. The first beta of iOS 9.2 was first released just one week ago and iOS 9.1 back on October 21st. It seems like Apple is really trying to get iOS 9.2 out considering how quickly they’re releasing the betas to get tested. Those who are part of the company’s beta testing program will receive the second iOS 9.2 update via over-the-air.

It was noted that in iOS 9.2, reloading content will be incorporated, Safari View Controller will be updated to have third-party Action Extensions, request for desktop sites will be incorporated, iCloud Keychain, audio quality, Apple Watch syncing and pairing bug fixes will be available, and AT&T’s NumberSync Wi-Fi Calling will be included, alongside much more. Those who are interested in testing out betas and partaking in Apple’s beta testing program can sign up through the beta testing website. You will then have access to OS X and iOS betas.

To simplify your your answer, NO. Its 100% free to be a beta tester on either one, (mac os x or ios). How ever, Apple sells an annual membership that is $99.00 a year to have a developers account. That gives you access to app creating software an first dibs on all beta software. You don't per say have to be a developer but its good to know what your doing with the app coding software.

Little lag sometimes while opening app on iphone 6 . Since it's beta, no worries.
