• Pebble Credits Apple Watch Effect for Spiking Sales

    Who said the world of wearables is only big enough for one major player?

    Indeed, a rising tide lifts all boats. And the mainstream awareness of wearables engendered by Apple Watch is helping to drive sales of products across the product category.

    This morning, CNBC reported that the CEO of Pebble, Eric Migicovsky, believes that the popularity of Apple Watch is helping boost sales at his own company.

    "Apple has brought a ton of attention to this space," Migicovsky told CNBC. "We've actually seen no material impact from Apple entering the space on our sales. In fact we're selling two (times) the amount this year than we were last year."

    While Pebble is quick to help credit Apple with doubling its sales, not many other rivals in the space are eager to line up and praise Apple. But Pebble and its top leaders are obviously more than happy to.
