• Report Suggests Apple May Soon Disrupt Virtual Reality Market with Product or Service

It's one of the fast growing and increasingly more mainstream technologies in the world today -- virtual reality.

With everyone from Google and Sony to Facebook and Samsung looking to capitalize on this flourishing but still nascent tech market, it shouldn't be a big shocker to anyone that Apple is paying attention to what's happening in the realm of VR.

And if a new report surfacing Thursday is to be believed, Apple may soon serve up a VR product or solution of its own.

Citing sources quoted by Benzinga, VRJournal says Apple may be preparing for a “disruptive” move in VR.

Benzinga notes that analyst Skye Chen appears to be among the Apple VR believers, beginning with the suspicion that all Apple mobile devices will be “Force Touch-ready” within two years.
“Apple has spent a significant amount of time and monetary resources developing Force Touch technology and is readying its supply chain for VR technology,” Chen is quoted in the report.

“Apple is in the leading position for VR products in devices,” a Credit Agricole report similarly explains. “In the next two to three years, users will be able to experience VR through their iDevices. By that time, Apple will have built up a comprehensive supply chain.”

For now, Apple isn't commenting on the speculation. But sources in the know say VR is definitely on Apple's radar.
