• Apple Pay to Launch in China February of 2016

Apple has been expanding Apple Pay internationally after having great success with it in the U.S. Just last week alone, the company launched the contactless payment service in Canada and Australia. It was also noted months ago that Apple wants to launch the service in China and was looking into partnering with Alibaba on it.

Although we’re not sure how true the rumors were about Apple partnering with Alibaba, but Dow Jones is now reporting that the Cupertino-based company is looking to launch the contactless payment system in China by February of next year. In September of this year, it was reported that Apple created a company in the Shanghai free-trade zone.

China has become one of the biggest markets for Apple, especially after they created the larger iPhone. There is no question that if Apple launches Apple Pay in the region that they will receive great success on it. Alipay by Alibaba is currently dominating the mobile payment service in China

We’re sure if Apple decides to launch this service in China, they will most likely have to partner with Alibaba and figure out a strategy, as they they will be competing with Alibaba otherwise.
