• Subscription Streaming Service 'DisneyLife' Launches in the UK

Last month we reported that Disney would be launching a new 9.99 (~$15) monthly subscription streaming service that would offer television series, books, movies and music direct to the consumer. The new service is called DisneyLife and Disney finally launched this streaming service recently but currently only in the UK with global expansion plans sometime in the future. Subscribers will get access to Disney movies from Toy Story to The Jungle Book when paying 9.99 a month.

According to The Guardian, not all titles are currently available like Frozen, which is expected to be available in Spring of 2016. Monthly subscribers will also get access to more than 2,000 TV episodes, approximately 5,000 songs, and a variety of books. Disney allows up to six profiles per account and each user can push video and music content to their television using Apple TV or Chromecast.

We also noted last month that Disney has plans of releasing new content along the way, as well as multilingual service. The new streaming service is expected to roll out in Italy, Germany, France, and Spain sometime next year as well. All new users will have a 30-day trial period to test out the new service, so we definitely recommend taking advantage of that if you reside in the UK.
