• Apple Music Support to Launch On Sonos as Public Beta Program December 15th

Apple and Sonos will be partnering and launching support for Apple Music subscription service on December 15th next month, so users of the Sonos speaker systems will be able to test it out as a public beta in about two weeks. The speaker system company announced just recently that the two have been working together in bringing the music service to the Sonos ecosystem.

Starting mid next month there will be an ‘early preview’ for the service and Sonos users will be able to access not only the Apple Music library but also other features including ‘Radio,’ ‘For You,’ and ‘New.’ It was noted that general availability will begin sometime early next year. If interested, you can register for the beta program on the Sonos website.

Apple’s iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, and Mac will control Apple Music through the Sonos app, as well as Android devices and PCs. According to Apple’s SVP of Internet Software and Services, Eddy Cue,

Many of our members love Sonos and want to enjoy our service throughout their homes. We're thrilled to be working with Sonos to provide the Apple Music experience in even more places fans enjoy music.
Sonos CEO and co-founder John MacFarlane noted,

Streaming is bringing more music into everyone's lives — and that's a better life. The introduction of Apple Music marks an inflection point for streaming and its mass adoption. Now that we have access to virtually all the music on Earth, how music lovers listen to it is even more important. We are honored to bring Apple Music to Sonos listeners all over the world.
Content from Apple Music will be able to be played in multiple rooms at users’ homes and in any room.
