• Zagg Acquires Mophie for at least $100 Million

On Tuesday, the company 'Zagg', best known for its InvisibleShield line, announced plans to buy the iPhone battery case maker 'Mophie' in a deal worth at least $100 million.

Zagg will pay $100M for Mophie up front, plus a flexible 12-month earn-out based on Mophie’s performance over the next year. ZAGG says they expect the deal to close within this quarter.

Zagg and Mophie both saw combined net sales of about $470 million.

Sources say that Mophie is selling their big hit portable battery cases as the market is growing bigger seeing that Apple has introduced its new battery pack for it's iPhone 6S.

$100m doesn't sound like much to me for a buyout.

You're right. If swiftkey sold for $250.
Oh and btw let's focus on Zagg having an extra $100m +. I always felt a screen protector for $45 is a bit much.
