• ‘Secret conversations’ and in-store purchasing rumored for Facebook Messenger

Facebook Messenger could soon become far more than a messaging client, with Facebook apparently planning to offer in-store purchases through its mobile app.

In January this year Facebook's CEO, Mark Zucherberg stated:-

“On payments, the basic strategy that we have is to make it — especially in products like Messenger where the business interaction may be a bit more transactional — to take all the friction out of making the transactions that you need.”
Certain anonymous sources have suggested that the app will also soon get a ‘secret conversations’ option – again, this isn’t clear whether that’s a reference to encrypted chats, or simply some way to hide certain conversations on a device within Messenger.

Facebook is increasingly demanding to have your government issued ID uploaded so that you're forced to use your real names.

"Secret" is oil and "social media" is water.

And if they want that, I will leave Facebook. Why? Because, they don't need all of the information that goes along with my Government issued ID.
