The announcement made by Porsche did not include that it will support Android Auto compatibility. It will bundle with the Connect Plus upgrade module which offers Google Earth, Street view etc. Porsche already offers CarPlay in the 718 Boxster, 2016 911, and the upcoming 2017 Macans.

As far as pricing goes, the 718 Cayman starts at $53,900 USD, while the S model is $66,300.

CarPlay launched in 2014, many luxury vehicles were the ones to embrace the technology. The first car which featured CarPlay built in was the Ferrari FF. Carmakers like Ford, Honda, Kia, and Chevrolet have worked hard and have now embraced CarPlay in some vehicles.
